Amira learned to dance to hand drums with a medieval
re-enactment group years ago. Since then she has
explored eastern dance from both the modern and
historical perspectives. She has danced to silence
and the wind in the wilderness and cacophony and heavy
bass in clubs in the heart of our urban centers. She
seeks to bring the sacred into her dance and express
her connection with diety and with her sisters, and
have a damn good time doing it!
